31 Days to Becoming Less Stressed, More Refreshed. Day 5: Get Into God’s Word

Get Into God's Word - The Cozy Nook

God’s Word. It’s the most important book on the face of the earth. It’s the book God gave us to help us to know His ways more and learn how to serve Him.

God’s Word holds truth, hope,
and life for all who would read it.

In this world, our minds are bombarded with discouragements and stresses in many ways.

The news, social media, and life’s imperfections contribute towards creating a big snowball of a disheartened mess at times.

We need our minds refreshed, our souls revived, and our spirits renewed!

When we get into God’s Word, we allow God to teach us and direct us. We allow Him to fill our hearts with HOPE and to remind us that He is alive and well and desires GOOD things for our lives.

God’s Word is like water that cleanses us
and brings nourishment.

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10-11

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.                              Ephesians 5:25-26

Have you been reading God’s Word?

Read it whenever you can. Make time for it. Make it a priority!

  • If you are able to get up before your family, do it!
  • If you miss the morning opportunity, read it when your kids are doing something independently or quietly.
  • Read it at your children’s nap time.
  • Read it when you have some time to yourself.
  • Read it BEFORE checking your email or social media.
  • Read it when you are waiting for your children during one of their activities.

Make some time in your day to read God’s Word!

Take action: Elevate the place of God’s Word in your life. Avoid making excuses and make a time to get into God’s Word.
